Omron PLC Programming

CX-One

Omron's programming suite CX-One covers Omron's older range of PLC. As of 2021 it is expected that the phase-out of CX-One shall not be for at least another 10 years, which is extremely good news. 


CX-One covers Omron's older, more established range of PLC such as the CJ1 / CJ2 flagship controllers and the CP1L CP1L & CP2E brick PLCs. 


Something extremely positive about CX-One is that it is still compatible with very old controllers such as the C200HG.

Sysmac Studio

Sysmac studio is Omron's newest programming environment. It is an integrated environment which can be used to program Omron's Sysmac range of PLC, the NX & NJ Machine controller.  Sysmac studio also features integrated functional safety programming, robot programming, HMI design and more. The lifecycle for Sysmac is at least 20 years as of 2021. If you are undertaking a new project, ControlMotive would recommend the use of an Omron Sysmac controller.


Omron Sysmac controller feature EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT as standard and a wide variety of expansion cards are available, making it an extremely flexible System.
